The knowledge, and the skill,
To fashion every vessel
According to his will.
The pattern and the purpose
Of every vessel planned,
Its usefulness and beauty
Are in the potter’s hand.
The clay makes no decision,
Has no will of its own,
But yielded to the potter,
His pattern is made known.
And thus the Master Potter

“Be of good cheer,” “forevermore rejoice,”
Precious the truth this message doth impart,
Comforts, encourages, and cheers the heart.
